British sport may be in disarray but our very own Rachael Cordingley has given Britain something to celebrate at last - by being crowned the world's sexiest new model. The 21-year-old jetted off to Thailand and battled it out with all the other nations' Miss Maxim winners and ended up winning the entire contest.

As well as winning a modelling contract with IMM worth 0,000, she got to spend a week partying with all the other girls: "We got lots of attention from men," she told us, "though most of them were fat Germans." She also confesses to receiving glances from the district's ladyboys, too: "I was going 'that's a woman, that's definitely a woman', then she lifted up her dress and it was just...dangling! I was like, 'oh my God, it's a man!'"
