Well, let's just say I happen to turn up in Manchester with smarter clothes and less hair than when you saw me last. And I did get to slap James Nesbitt's bare bottom during filming, too. I made sure I gave him a good hard whack every time.
Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed filming the series.
It really is as much fun to make as it looks. When I was a punter it was the only show I'd stay in to watch, so I was absolutely terrified when I went to the audition. But the cast instantly put me at ease. James Nesbitt and John Thomson are lethal together. I'd come away from filming with a sore stomach from laughing so much.
Did they take you out on the lash?
Oh yes. It would be four in the morning and I'd be pleading, 'I've got to get up in two hours,' and still they'd be pouring drinks. There were so many disgraceful antics I couldn't possibly divulge. But Thomson and Nesbitt were the main culprits. I remember having dinner in a restaurant and James turning up on top form and within minutes he was talking to everyone in the restaurant.
Is that why lot of women fancy him, despite the fact he looks like a clown without the make-up?
It's more to do with the twinkle in his eye. Nine times out of ten it's the bastard man who has the twinkle. But Jimmy's one of those rare creatures - a good man with a twinkle. It's an irresistible combination.
Have you ever done 'tongues' when screen kissing?
Yeah because, while I admit it can look horrible, if tongues are called for you have to do it. You don't tend to do a dry run - you just wait for 'action' and get on with it.
You're the daughter of a billionaire and Ireland's wealthiest heiress. When was the last time you had a kebab?
I've never eaten one in my life. I've spent too long in Leicester Square watching lumps of rat meat wrapped around skewers to ever take the plunge.
What's your party trick?
I've got double-jointed elbows. Photographers will say, 'Can you just lean on one arm?' and I'll disgust them by doing this [hideously twists elbows inside out]. But it does mean when I'm driving in a hot country I can get a tan on the inside of my arms. It's a huge talent, isn't it?
