When I came along everyone looked like a heroin addict and I brought a more sexy look, I was voluptuous, with white hair. I did one magazine with my butt showing and it sold out in four days.
Do you take your work seriously?
Of course I do. I look at what I'm doing as a business, not just "OK I'm gonna go and take a few pictures." In Britain you get pigeonholed in one thing and just stay there, but Americans are competitive. You have to do that... singing... dancing... being a presenter... have your own lingerie line - everyone does it.
Do you do the designs for your lingerie range?
No, the girls have different designs for each season and we see which one sells the best and add on different materials - diamante, bows. My stuff is quite simple and sexy and adorable - it's very good quality.
Will you ever leave England?
No! London is my first home now, and anyway, everyone thinks I'm English. Until I open my mouth. Even the Americans think I'm English, which is ironic. But I've never worked out the queue thing - if there's two queues and there's 20 people in one queue and two people in the other queue, no-one will join the shorter queue. Why is that? Even in traffic, I don't get it? And Marmite!
Do you still have problems understanding us Brits?
Yeah. When I first arrived I was standing around at a shoot and said: "My fanny is killing me" and everyone looked at me, the room went silent and someone said "You can't say that." "Why not? My fanny hurts!" In America it means butt.
